Vampire Red, a deep blood-red semi-permanent hair dye, can give virgin, unbleached hair beautiful burgundy tones. For the best results, we recommend lightening your hair to a light level 8 blonde or lighter before applying this color.

Manic Panic hair dyes are vegan, cruelty-free, and free of harsh chemicals like ammonia, parabens, gluten, resorcinol, and phthalates. To achieve the most intense, vibrant results with Vampire Red and other Manic Panic colors, we offer three bleach kits to help pre-lighten your hair: Blue Lightning 30 Vol, Flash Lightning 30 Vol, and Flash Lightning Amplified 40 Vol. The blue toner in Blue Lightning helps cancel out unwanted brassiness, while the Amplified 40 Vol kit provides our strongest bleaching power for lifting hair up to 7 levels.

For a softer, pastel effect, you can blend the Mixer/Pastel-izer into any Manic Panic color formula. This product works best when using a full jar of Pastel-izer with just a few drops of your desired hue, creating trendy, delicate pastel shades.

Unlike permanent hair color that uses ammonia and peroxide to penetrate the hair shaft, Manic Panic's semi-permanent dyes rely on natural vegan pigments that deposit color on the outer cuticle layer. This gentle, non-damaging formula does not require a developer.

To apply Manic Panic hair color, start by washing your hair with a clarifying shampoo, then thoroughly dry it. Wear gloves and use a tinting brush to ensure even saturation. Let the color process for 30-45 minutes, then rinse until the water runs clear. For best results, apply heat with a blow dryer during processing.
